This is a fan art I have worked on for a few months, Sanakan, from one of my favorite manga: Blame!
Possibly the hardest character I've made in a looong while :'D
My purpose with this project was to create a game ready high-end character, using the original character as a basis, but making my own version of her. I choose to go to a more mechanical and armored direction, as seen in some arts from manga covers and the anime version, but trying to keep some core aspects from the original manga.
Another achieved objective, was that everything should work in a realtime environment (Unreal Engine 5) and the character could be playable.
For the development of this character, I used mainly Blender, Maya, and UE5 for most of the work, but I also used other softwares like Zbrush, Substance, etc. As it is common in the character workflow.
I also had to develop 3 of my own Blender addons as I needed to complete specific repetitive tasks that would take months to finish manually :')
