Book of wolves

November 25, 2019

Here's a very brief breakdown of this project for you all 🦇✨

The game was based on the movie Nosferatu (1922).

production time: 3-4 months

⚠️ This was a prototype made to test the concept of a game, not a finished product ⚠️

Our goal was to stay close to the original story, but expand it and do a modern take of it!

Characters

Character's art style were inspired by borderlands and Jojo.

The game revolves around 3 characters. Helen and Bulwer were characters from the movie, and Andrei is the protagonist, created for the game.

Andrei

Long story short, Andrei was just a man that a long time ago, was bestowed the curse of the Wolf by Count Orlok himself. He joined Bulwer as a vampire hunter afterwards.

After a long time hunting Count Orlok, he runs into the recently turned vampire Helen.

Bulwer

Bulwer is the original vampire hunter in the story. He lived in the destroyed town and also recruited Andrei. He is also an inventor and is the source of Andrei's vampire hunter arsenal.

Helen

After being bitten by Count Orlok (which led to his demise) she was buried and declared dead. She woke up from the grave and found out that her entire town was ravaged by Count Orlok's plague.

Setting and Mood

The main references for the mood of this game were Bloodborne(2015) and Vampyr (2018), we wanted something that could evoke more emotion than to be realistic. In this story, the whole city is ravaged by the plague and everything is gloomy and sad 😔
